Breaking records while saving lives, Toowoomba’s QantasLink “It’s a Bloke Thing” foundation raised $1.13 million at their fundraising lunch yesterday.
The lunch boasted a star studded line-up of guest speakers and performers, including country music star Lee Kernaghan,as well as celebrity chefs Matt Golinski and Alastair McLeod. Our wonderful designer Kiron Barui was there to join the thrill of the day and support a cause that is close to her heart!
Matt Golinksi, Food and Culinary Tourism Ambassador for Gympie, spoke of how "provincial areas are paving the way for these amazing events", bringing fashion, like Wearing Memories, together with food and fundraising seems to be a winning combination.
Wearing Memories donated 2 sabres that were a huge hit, collectively they were auctioned off for $1,850, while one of our beautiful bespoke pieces was also auctioned off for an astounding $2,000. All proceeds went towards raising funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer.
